Canadian National Railway Company

A North American freight railway, Canadian National (CN) moves goods like grain, autos, and forest products by train from coast to coast. It was born in 1919, when the Canadian government bundled several bankrupt private rail lines into one state-owned network to keep the country moving after World War I. A quirk of its rails: for years CN's line to Hay River, Northwest Territories, was the northernmost point connected to the continent's rail network.
