Cano Health Inc

A Florida-based chain of primary-care clinics that opened in 2009 with a focus on caring for underserved and Latino communities, offering check-ups, chronic-disease care, labs and pharmacies under one roof. It was founded by doctors Marlow Hernandez and Richard Aguilar in Miami, built around a "value-based" model that pays doctors a set amount per patient to keep them healthy and out of the hospital. Fun twist: the two founders were physicians who decided healthcare should come to the neighborhood rather than the other way around.
