Cargo Therapeutics Inc
A biotechnology company building next-generation CAR T-cell therapies, which reprogram a patient's own immune cells to hunt down and destroy cancer. Founded in 2019 by Stanford cell-therapy experts including Dr. Crystal Mackall, it started life as Syncopation Life Sciences before rebranding to CARGO Therapeutics in 2022. The name is a play on "CAR" (chimeric antigen receptor) plus "GO," nodding to both the therapy's acronym and the sense of momentum behind it.
