Catalent Inc
A maker of medicines and drug-delivery technologies for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients worldwide, Catalent produces everything from softgel capsules to the Zydis tablet that dissolves on the tongue in seconds. Its roots reach back to 1933, when R.P. Scherer invented the rotary-die softgel machine, and it took the name Catalent in 2007 after being carved out of Cardinal Health. The name blends 'catalyst' and 'talent' — a nod to speeding drug development and the people who do it.
