A broadcaster that runs commercial television networks across Central and Eastern Europe, with well-known brands like TV Nova in the Czech Republic, Pro TV in Romania, and bTV in Bulgaria. It was co-founded in 1991 by Ronald Lauder, heir to the Estée Lauder cosmetics fortune, and former U.S. ambassador Mark Palmer, who set out to bring independent commercial TV to the region after the fall of the Iron Curtain. Originally incorporated in Germany as CEDC GmbH, the company was later controlled by WarnerMedia before being bought by the Czech investment group PPF in 2020.
