Its Icelandic plant, powered by renewable energy, produces a low-carbon line called Natur-Al™.

Century Aluminum will restate 2023-2025 financials after switching Jamalco JV accounting to full consolidation.
Century Aluminum Company will restate its previously issued financial statements for fiscal years 2023 and 2024 and interim periods in 2024 and 2025, after changing how it accounts for its Jamalco joint venture production assets.
Show detailsHide details
The company will switch from proportionate consolidation to full consolidation of the Jamalco Production Assets, with a related increase in noncontrolling interest, following SEC staff comment letters.
The accounting change increases total assets, noncontrolling interests, and total equity, and decreases gross profit by less than 10% in each affected period; it does not affect net income attributable to Century stockholders or total stockholders' equity.
The Audit Committee concluded on March 2, 2026, that the affected financial statements should no longer be relied upon, after the SEC staff disagreed with the company's initial immateriality conclusion.
The company expects to report a material weakness in internal controls over financial reporting in connection with the restatement.
