Cheniere Energy Partners LP Holdings LLC
A holding company tied to one of America's landmark natural-gas projects, this entity owned units of Cheniere Energy Partners, the partnership that runs the Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Louisiana — the first terminal in the lower 48 states to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas when it shipped its first cargo in 2016. Its parent, Cheniere Energy, was founded in 1996 and later absorbed this holding company in 2018. The name comes from the Louisiana French word for "oak grove," the ridges of oaks that dot the state's marshy coast.
