Chicago Bridge & Iron Company N.v.

An engineering and construction firm, Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I) designs and builds the giant steel storage tanks, terminals, and pressure vessels that hold oil, gas, water, and chemicals around the globe. Founded in 1889 when bridge builder Horace Horton merged with a Kansas City rival, the company actually stopped making bridges long ago. That inspires its famous in-joke: it "isn't in Chicago, doesn't build bridges, and doesn't use iron."
