China Xd Plastics Company Limited
A maker of modified plastics for the auto industry, China XD Plastics turns polymer composites into the bumpers, door panels, dashboards, engine covers and air ducts used by car brands built in China, from Audi and BMW to Toyota and Volkswagen. It grew out of the Harbin Xinda Nylon Factory, founded in 1985 by Jie Han, and its "XD" name is simply short for "Xinda," the original factory's name. Though its name sounds similar, it has nothing to do with the state-owned China XD Group, which makes power-grid equipment.
