Cidara Therapeutics Inc

A biotech firm that develops anti-infective and immunotherapy treatments, Cidara Therapeutics is best known for rezafungin (sold as Rezzayo), a once-weekly antifungal for severe bloodstream infections. Founded in San Diego in 2012, it began life as K2 Therapeutics before renaming itself Cidara in 2014. It also built its Cloudbreak platform to pair medicines with antibodies, and was bought by pharmaceutical giant Merck in early 2026.
