Citrix Systems Inc
A provider of software that lets employees securely reach their work desktops, apps, and data from anywhere, hosting the work in a central cloud rather than on each laptop. Its Virtual Apps and Desktops and NetScaler networking tools serve businesses around the world. Founded in 1989 by Ed Iacobucci, a former IBM engineer, the company was nearly named "Citrus" until a trademark clash led the founders to blend that word with UNIX — which is how the world got "Citrix." It went public in 1995 and later acquired NetScaler.
