Commercehub, Inc.
A maker of e-commerce software that connects brands, retailers, and suppliers, letting stores list and drop-ship products without holding inventory. Founder Frank Poore got the idea in 1997 while working with a video game distributor: retailers displayed only a handful of the thousands of titles in the warehouse, so he built a system to link their product data straight onto store sites. Its first big customer was QVC, and the company has since rebranded as Rithum, a play on "rhythm."
