Wci Communities Inc
A Florida homebuilder that planned whole master-planned neighborhoods with golf courses, marinas and country clubs, building homes and condos for vacation and retirement buyers. It grew out of Coral Ridge Properties, founded in Fort Lauderdale in 1946, and took the name WCI Communities after a 1999 merger. The quirky bit: "WCI" isn't an acronym at all — the letters trace back to Watermark Communities, a name the firm briefly used.
