Auxilium Pharmaceuticals Inc

A specialty biopharmaceutical company that developed and marketed drugs for men's health, urology, and orthopedics. Its best-known products were the testosterone treatments Testim (a gel) and Testopel (implantable pellets), plus Xiaflex, an injected enzyme used to treat Dupuytren's contracture of the hand and Peyronie's disease. Founded in Pennsylvania in 1999, its name comes from the Latin word for "help" or "remedy." In 2015 it was acquired by Endo International, which took over its portfolio.
