Crescent Point Energy Corp

A Canadian oil and gas company that explores, develops, and produces light and medium crude oil, natural gas liquids, and natural gas across western Canada and parts of the United States. Founded in 2001 as a junior exploration firm, it grew into one of Canada's largest independent light-oil producers, then rebranded as Veren Inc. in 2024 and merged with Whitecap Resources. Its name comes from Crescent Point Road in Ontario, where the founder's grandfather kept a summer cabin.
