Domtar Corp

A maker of fiber-based products—pulp, paper, packaging, tissue, and wood products—used by homes, businesses, and printers, with paper brands like Domaine and Cougar. Its roots stretch back to 1848 in England, where Henry Potter Burt treated lumber to resist decay, a venture that grew into Canada's Dominion Tar and Chemical Company in 1903. The name Domtar is simply a contraction of "Dominion Tar," and in 2007 the firm merged with Weyerhaeuser's fine paper business to form today's company.
