Daqo New Energy Corp.
A maker of high-purity polysilicon, the ultra-pure raw material that goes into the solar cells and modules powering photovoltaic panels worldwide. Daqo was founded in 2007 by Guangfu Xu, originally incorporated as Mega Stand International Limited before adopting its current name in 2009—"Daqo" comes from the Chinese characters 大全, meaning "complete" or "all-encompassing." One of the world's largest polysilicon producers, it runs its operations from Shihezi, Xinjiang, and listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2010.
