Datadog, Inc.
Datadog is a cloud-based monitoring and observability platform that gives engineering and IT teams a unified "control room" view of their servers, apps, and cloud services, helping them spot and fix slowdowns and outages fast. It was founded in 2010 in New York City by French engineers Olivier Pomel and Alexis Lê-Quôc, who met at École Centrale Paris and wanted to ease the friction between developers and operations teams. The name comes from the founders joking that their database servers were "dogs" — and the company's watchdog mascot is fittingly named "Bits."
