Dell Technologies Inc.
A maker of computers and data-center equipment, Dell Technologies ships everything from the XPS laptops used by students and content creators to the PowerEdge servers that run businesses' computing operations. It began in 1984 when 19-year-old Michael Dell built upgraded PCs from his University of Texas dorm room under the name PC's Limited, later taking his own surname for the company. In 2016 it absorbed storage maker EMC, becoming Dell Technologies, a family of businesses that also includes VMware and RSA.
