Denbury Inc
A Texas-based oil producer that specializes in enhanced oil recovery, pumping carbon dioxide into aging oil fields so trapped crude flows more easily—and piping that CO2 across hundreds of miles of its own pipeline network. Born in 1951 as a Canadian mining firm called Key Lake Mines, it kept changing names before settling on "Denbury" in 1995 when it shifted south to the U.S. Gulf Coast. In 2020, it shed "Resources" to become simply Denbury Inc. before being bought by ExxonMobil in 2023.
