A maker of everyday home essentials, Spectrum Brands is best known for its Tetra fish food and aquariums, pet supplies, small kitchen appliances, and household brands you likely have in a cupboard. It got its start in 1906 as the French Battery Company in Wisconsin, later famous as the Rayovac battery maker—its cells even helped power Charles Lindbergh's 1928 transatlantic flight—before renaming itself Spectrum Brands in 2005 as it branched into pets, home care, and garden goods.
