Denison Mines Corp.
A Canadian uranium exploration and development company focused on the Athabasca Basin in northern Saskatchewan, home to some of the world's highest-grade uranium deposits. Its roots trace to 1954, when a predecessor acquired uranium claims in Elliot Lake, Ontario, and the business was built into a mining empire by Slovakian immigrant Stephen B. Roman. Today it is advancing the Phoenix deposit, poised to become Canada's first uranium mine using in-situ recovery — dissolving uranium underground rather than digging it out.
