Replay Acquisition Corp
A "blank check" company, or SPAC — a shell firm that raises money through an IPO to later merge with a private business and take it public. Formed in 2018 by Edmond Safra and brothers Gregorio and Gerardo Werthein with an eye on Latin American targets, it went public on the New York Stock Exchange in 2019. In 2021 it merged with Finance of America Equity Capital, folding Replay into the resulting Finance of America Companies — the classic SPAC finish, where the shell's "purpose" ends by absorbing a real business.
