Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc.
A U.S.-based shipowner-operator that hauled dry-bulk cargoes like grain, coal, iron ore, and cement across the world's oceans. Founded in 2005 by Sophocles Zoullas, who left his family's shipping firm to start it, the company built one of the world's largest fleets of versatile midsize Supramax and Ultramax vessels. In 2024 it merged with Star Bulk Carriers, ending its run as an independent company.
