Diamond Foods Inc

A maker of snack foods, Diamond Foods grew out of a California walnut growers' cooperative founded in 1912 to help farmers pool their crops and steady prices. At its peak it owned the brands Diamond of California, Emerald, Pop Secret, and Kettle Brand. The "Diamond" name dates to a diamond-shaped stamp the cooperative pressed onto every premium walnut shell it sold, a mark of quality the company still carries today.
