Dicerna Pharmaceuticals Inc

A biopharmaceutical company that used RNA interference (RNAi) to "silence" disease-causing genes, developing medicines delivered by injection to target the liver and treat conditions like obesity and cardiometabolic disease. It was founded in 2006 (first as Oncorna Pharmaceuticals) and took its name from Dicer, the enzyme that powers the gene-silencing process it built its GalXC platform around. The company became part of Novo Nordisk in 2021 after the Danish drugmaker bought it outright.
