A mobile app distribution and advertising company, Digital Turbine embeds its DT Ignite software directly into Android phones so app makers, carriers, and device brands can place apps right on new handsets out of the box. Founded in 1998 as eB2B Commerce, it passed through several names and mergers before taking on the Digital Turbine brand in 2015 — and picked the stock ticker "APPS" to match its business.
