A producer of crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids from major U.S. basins, led by the Delaware Basin spanning Texas and New Mexico, with additional exploration offshore Trinidad and in Bahrain and the UAE. Born in 1989 as Enron Oil & Gas, a subsidiary of Enron Corporation, the company was spun off in 1999 and kept its initials—so the letters EOG quietly stand for its former parent, Enron Oil & Gas.
