A U.S.-based owner and operator of dry bulk cargo ships, Eagle Bulk Shipping carried commodities like iron ore, coal, and grain across the world's oceans aboard one of the largest fleets of mid-size Supramax and Ultramax vessels. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, the company named each of its ships after an "Eagle" (think Montauk Eagle or Cape Town Eagle). In April 2024 it merged with Star Bulk Carriers, creating the largest U.S.-listed dry bulk shipping company.
