Electrolux Ab
A maker of home appliances like refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, and vacuum cleaners, Swedish Electrolux sells under brand names including AEG, Frigidaire, and Zanussi in homes across the globe. It was born in 1919 when kerosene-lamp maker Lux merged with motor firm Elektromekaniska — the two names fusing into "Electrolux." A fun twist: its 1921 Model V vacuum glided on ski-like runners, and the company later built the world's first robotic vacuum, the Trilobite.
