Eldorado Resorts Inc
A casino and hotel company that owned and ran gaming resorts across the US, from slot floors and rooms to dining and spas, now folded into one of the world's largest gaming operators. It began with a single Reno property, the Eldorado Hotel-Casino, opened in 1973 by lawyer Don Carano on a downtown corner where many doubted a casino could survive; its 2020 takeover of Caesars turned it into Caesars Entertainment. The name nods to the Spanish legend of El Dorado, the mythical "golden man" said to be dusted in gold.
