Evoqua Water Technologies Corp

A maker of water and wastewater treatment systems that helps industrial plants, cities, and pools clean, filter, and disinfect their water. Its story began as the water-treatment arm of Siemens, which was bought out in 2014 and renamed Evoqua — a blend of "evolve" and "evoke" meant to capture its fresh start. In 2023 the company was folded into the water-technology firm Xylem. Fun quirk: its name was invented to suggest both imaginative reinvention and steady progress toward something better.
