Fidelity® Wise Origin® Bitcoin Fund
A spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund from Fidelity, the Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund lets everyday investors own a share of real Bitcoin through a regular brokerage account, without ever buying, storing, or guarding the cryptocurrency themselves. It trades on the Cboe BZX Exchange under the ticker FBTC and began trading in January 2024, backed by Fidelity Digital Assets, which has been researching blockchain since 2014. The "Wise Origin" name plays on Fidelity's "wise" investing brand and its early claim as an original institutional player in digital assets.
