A huge Chinese online classifieds marketplace, often nicknamed the "Chinese Craigslist," where people and businesses post and find job listings, home rentals, cars, and local services. Founded in Beijing in 2005 by Yao Jinbo, it also owns the real estate platform Anjuke. The Chinese name, 58同城 (Tongcheng, "same city"), plays on the Mandarin sound of "58," which echoes "I help" — a nod to connecting neighbors in the same city.
