Foley Trasimene Acquisition Corp II
A special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), or "blank check" company, with no business of its own beyond raising money to buy a private firm and take it public. Founded in 2020 by veteran financier Bill Foley, it merged with Paysafe, a global payments platform, in 2021, with the combined company trading on the New York Stock Exchange. Its unusual name pairs Foley's surname with "Trasimene," drawn from his investment firm, which takes its name from Italy's Lake Trasimene, famed as the site of Hannibal's ambush of the Romans in 217 BC.
Unit consisting of 1 Class A common share and 1/3 redeemable warrant — Delisted post-merger with Paysafe in 2021
