Forest Road Acquisition Corp. II

A special purpose acquisition company, or "blank check" company, that raised money from investors specifically to buy or merge with a private business and take it public. Launched in 2021 by The Forest Road Company, it was led by former top Walt Disney executives Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs and focused on technology, media, and consumer companies. It never completed a deal — a planned merger with Hyperloop Transportation Technologies fell through — and was eventually wound down.
