Fortress Investment Group LLC

A diversified investment management firm based in New York City, Fortress handles corporate credit, real estate, private equity, and other alternative assets on behalf of institutional and private clients. Founded in 1998 by five Wall Street veterans including Wesley Edens and Randal Nardone, it made history in 2007 as the first major US private equity firm to sell shares on the New York Stock Exchange. In 2017 it was bought by Japan's SoftBank, and it now runs as an independent business within that group.
