Fortuna Silver Mines Inc

A Canadian precious-metals miner that pulls gold and silver — plus lead and zinc as by-products — from underground and open-pit mines across Latin America and West Africa. It was founded in 2005 when three mining veterans, including Peruvian fourth-generation miner Jorge Ganoza, bought their first underground silver mine in Peru. The name comes from Fortuna, the Roman goddess of luck and fate, fitting for a business built on betting on the ground.
