Gfl Environmental Inc.

A major North American environmental services company, GFL picks up garbage, recyclables and organics for homes and businesses and runs its signature bright green trucks across Canada and the US. It was founded in 2007 in Vaughan, Ontario, by Patrick Dovigi, a former pro hockey goaltender who built the firm into a one-stop shop for waste services. The name GFL stands for "Green For Life," and its employees call themselves "Team Green."
