Global Brass and Copper Holdings, Inc.

A North American manufacturer of copper and brass products—brass rod, sheet, strip, and fittings—used in plumbing, electrical, and automotive parts. It came together in 2007 when the private equity firm KPS Capital Partners bought the metals business of Olin Corporation and folded its brands, including Chase Brass, under one name. Chase Brass itself traces to 1876, when Henry Sabin Chase founded a company in Waterbury, Connecticut, helping earn that town its nickname "The Brass City."
