Global Star Acquisition Inc

A special purpose acquisition company, or "blank check" firm, formed in 2019 to raise public money and later merge with a private business. It originally hunted financial-technology and property-tech startups in the Nordics and Southeast Asia, but instead combined with a coalition of South Korean entertainment and content producers, becoming the publicly traded entertainment platform K Wave Media. As a blank-check company, it kept its target secret, so investors backed the team before learning what it would buy.
