Gores Holdings VII Inc

A special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), or "blank check" company, that raised money through an initial public offering to buy or merge with an existing private business and take it public. It was sponsored by The Gores Group, the private equity firm founded by billionaire Alec Gores, a pioneer often nicknamed the "SPAC baron." Gores Holdings VII completed its IPO in 2021 but never found a merger partner and liquidated in 2022, returning money to shareholders.
