Allied Nevada Gold Corp
A gold and silver miner whose flagship asset was the Hycroft Mine, a large open-pit operation near Winnemucca, Nevada. The company was founded in 2006 as a spin-off of Vista Gold Corp., and its name comes from a site with deep roots: the ground was once the Sulphur Mine for native sulphur dug there since the 1870s, and later tied to the Crofoot family's mining claims. The company was renamed Hycroft Mining Corporation in 2015.
