A Texas-based independent refiner and marketer of petroleum products, Alon USA turned crude oil into gasoline, diesel, and asphalt and sold motor fuels across the Southwestern and Western US. Born in 2000 when its Israeli parent bought the old FINA refining and marketing business—including the Big Spring, Texas refinery—it sold gas under the FINA brand and ran convenience stores licensed from 7-Eleven. Its name is the Hebrew word for "oak tree," and it was absorbed into Delek US Holdings in 2017.
