Hsn Inc
A multichannel retailer that sells fashion, beauty, home goods, jewelry and electronics through 24/7 live television broadcasts, a website and mobile app. The company began in 1977 when Florida radio broadcaster Lowell "Bud" Paxson, stuck with a shipment of electric can openers taken as payment for an unpaid advertising bill, sold them over the air—a success that grew into the first national home-shopping network by 1985. Today HSN is part of Qurate Retail Group, the parent company of QVC.
