A maker of software that helps companies run computer systems across many clouds, with tools like Terraform for setting up cloud infrastructure, Vault to guard passwords and secret keys, and Consul for connecting services. Co-founders Mitchell Hashimoto and Armon Dadgar met at the University of Washington and founded the company in 2012. Its name blends Hashimoto's surname with "Corporation," and IBM bought the company in 2025.
