Hutchmed (china) Limited
A biopharmaceutical company based in Hong Kong that discovers and sells targeted cancer therapies and immunotherapies, working with global partners such as Takeda and Eli Lilly. Its best-known product, Fruzaqla, is an oral pill for advanced colorectal cancer approved by U.S. and European regulators. The company began in 2000 as Hutchison China MediTech (nicknamed Chi-Med), a spin-off of the pharmaceutical arm of Hong Kong's Hutchison Whampoa conglomerate, and rebranded to HUTCHMED in 2021. Its name combines the Hutchison family legacy with "Med" for medicine.
