Interfor Corp
A maker of lumber and wood products, Interfor runs sawmills across North America that turn timber into framing boards, decking, siding, and industrial timbers used in construction. The company's roots reach back to a single sawmill built in the 1930s in Whonnock, British Columbia, which was incorporated in 1963 and later renamed Whonnock Industries. Its name is a mash-up of "International Forest Products," the title it adopted in 1988 before officially becoming Interfor Corporation in 2014.
