iShares Silver Trust
An exchange-traded fund that holds physical silver bullion, letting everyday investors track the price of silver by trading shares on the stock market instead of buying bars or coins. Launched in 2006 under the iShares brand (owned by BlackRock) and trading under the ticker SLV, the trust stores its silver in secure vaults on behalf of shareholders. Its name comes from iShares, BlackRock's family of exchange-traded funds.
