Joyy Inc
A global technology company that builds social media and live-streaming apps, including Bigo Live, Likee, and Hago, used by people in more than 150 countries. It started in 2005 in Guangzhou, China, as an online gaming portal called Duowan.com before launching its voice-chat platform YY Voice in 2008. The company renamed itself JOYY in 2019 — short for "Joyful and Youthful" — after buying the Singapore-based maker of Bigo Live.
